The Story of BCS
Berowra Christian School is a K-6 Primary School that was established by Berowra Baptist Church in 1986. In response to the growing number of Christian parents seeking a primary school which supported the beliefs and values taught at home, we focus on providing a Christ centred education of the highest quality, in a safe and secure environment.
Utilising the Berowra Baptist Church property and being administered by an elected Board, the school embraces families from any denomination who subscribe to the school’s Statement of Faith. Our school is a founding member of Christian Schools Australia (CSA), an organisation established to provide advice and support to Christian schools nationally. They provide administrative and professional advice as well as regular in-service to staff of affiliated schools so creating a wider family and network of several hundred other schools built on a common foundation.
In 2015 our name was streamlined to become Berowra Christian School. While the word community is no longer in our name, like many other Christian values to which we subscribe, ‘community’ remains a core quality of our school.
